Post Wedding Celebrations

With most of our weddings being destination weddings, the Post Wedding Day Celebrations have become increasingly popular. After all, you already have all your favourite people in one place for an entire weekend (or 3 days), why not make the most of it? Think along the lines of recovery catchup!

The day after is the perfect time to have a coffee, cure the hangover, eat some tasty food, say thank you to everyone who helped celebrate your special day with you, before heading home, or enjoying another night of relaxation.

We have noticed with the Post Wedding Day Celebrations that some things just simply don’t work, while other things work really well. We believe this has something to do with how much thought and planning has been put into the day.  Sure, it’s not like planning the wedding but it’s also more than your average backyard BBQ. It could require guest RSVP’s, entertainment and additional amounts of food and drinks. Not to mention someone to pack up from the wedding, set up for the party and clean up afterwards!

We have four options:

HOUSE GUESTS SELF-CATERED BREAKFAST (STANDARD CHECK OUT)

As standard, self-catered for guests staying at Adams Peak Country Estate (24 guests). No additional guests are allowed onsite. 

No additional charge.

WEDDING GUESTS BRUNCH (11AM CHECK OUT)

Only available with an 11am check out or when an extra night is booked.

Catered by Monkey Place Catering (additional charge) for house guests and inviting additional guests back (above the 24 house guests staying) for a breakfast/brunch before 11am. 

$250 extra charge

This cost covers:

  • Cleaning up from the wedding early the morning after prior to next day function
  • Pack up of furniture etc from the night before prior to next day function
  • Set up of required furniture
  • Clean toilets for use
  • Dispose of additional waste
  • Additional wear and tear on the property
  • Please note: this does NOT include food or beverages

WEDDING GUESTS PARTY (UNTIL 6PM)

Only available when an extra night is booked. This event MUST be professionally catered for.

If you're keen on entertaining while you have everyone together, this is the perfect opportunity to relax after the wedding, and have the celebrations continue with family and friends laugh about the night before, fill the bellies full of good food, and drink any alcohol that may be left over.  This is a whole other event in addition to the wedding. 

This will include a cut off time of 6pm for those not staying on the property. (Please note there is a $250 charge per hour, for each hour after 6pm)

Minimum $3000 extra charge (not including cost for extra night)

This cost covers:

  • Bar staff
  • Ice / soft drink / glassware
  • Cleaning up from the wedding early the morning after prior to next day function
  • Pack up of furniture etc from the night before prior to next day function
  • Set up of required furniture
  • Clean toilets for use
  • Dispose of additional waste
  • Additional wear and tear on the property
  • Please note: this does NOT include food or beverages

Food is an additional charge and must be catered or approved by Monkey Place Catering. Please note: if there are additional guests invited back for a recovery party, The House and the pool area are not available to be used by external guests (due to public liability). The function must be held either on The Hill, Front of The Barn, The Barn dance floor or in The Hay Shed. 

MEET UP SOMEWHERE

If you want a Post Wedding Celebration, but don't want to pay for another day for all your guests (You've given them enough as it is!), why not book out a section at a local pub, and tell everyone to meet you there. Then you all get to catch up, but everyone pays their own way. Some locals suggestions are ie Bulga Tavern, Harrigans Irish Pub.
